An executive condominium is assessed against two ceilings at once: the Mortgage Servicing Ratio (MSR), capped at 30% of gross monthly income and counting property loans only, and the Total Debt Servicing Ratio (TDSR), capped at 55% and counting all debts. The bank uses whichever gives the lower loan — and for most EC buyers that is the MSR. This calculator computes both and tells you which one binds.
